Don seems to be an alternate-universe version of myself. If you were to draw two circles, each containing our interests, and made a venn diagram of the two, you’d see a great deal of overlap… photography, writing, being kind are all things we both endeavor to do, and to enjoy .

Don’s photography is superb, as is his sense of presentation fo food. (I only wish that I’ve had a chance to eat some of it!)

His heart is obviously full of love, especially for his family (and a grandchild really makes him shine).

He’s one of the very rare online journalists that I feel totally comfortable and at home with.

Of course I’d love to meet him in person, and share some quality time with him.

I first encountered Lisa on Livejournal, ages ago. She’s a fascinating, beautiful person, who really cares about people, turtles and other awesome-type critters, including special-needs children.

I’ve had th epleasure of reading some early drafts of children’s book (pre-publication), and that is also superb. Who wouldn’t want to meet such a nifty person?

I found scotto on LiveJournal some years ago. We eventually have become LJ “friends”, but I’d like to meet him in real person. Once, I wrote that I wanted to take the train to Chicago, drink amarone by the river, and spend the day in the Chicago Institute. He immediately responded and said “let’s do it”. Something like that would be nice.
